James Mudie's Series of National Medals 1818

Set of bronze or copper medals from James Mudie's series of medals celebrating the victories of England under King George III in the recently concluded Napoleonic Wars. The set includes the original case, with gold tooled lettering and embellishments. Inside, the 40 medals are set in numbered and velvet lined spaces, with silk padding on top. On the back of the case, the book is stamped "Won by Mr. Vansittart's Vanity beating three others at the Malton Coursing Meeting November 1818".

The coins/medals are in excellent uncirculated condition, and the case is in good condition with age-appropriate wear on the outside.
