Two Kingdom Of Sardinia Officer's Hangers Reign Of Victor Amadeus III (1773-1796) The first with broad curved fullered blade (some old wear and rust patination) double-edged towards the point, the forte on one side etched with crowned Sardinian eagle above 'VIVE LA ROI', and along the other with a cross between foliage and a martial trophy, brass hilt with ovoidal langets, pommel and back-piece in one, the former incised with a pair of medial lines, and grip bound with twisted copper wire, in original linear engraved brass scabbard with iron shoe, and brass ring for suspension; the second with blade of similar form (old scattered pitting) etched along one side at the forte 'VIVE . LE . ROY . DE .
