Description
A Continental gold 18ct gold mounted banded agate snuffbox, 19th century, of circular outline, the banded agate body of bombé form, with hinged cover and a scrolling gold mount. A later Dutch duty mark, 1906-1953. 64.48g 49mm x 33mm Provenance: Maurice 'Dick' Turpin, Barons Keep, London W14. Condition report: In good overall condition, with very minor marks and scratches to gold surfaces commensurate with age.Small loss of cement between agate body and underside of lid bezel to one side. Only visible to inside of bezel when the lid is open.A small amount of residual label glue to the lid underside. Removal should be with a damp soft cloth.
