Description
A GEORGE IV SILVER AND AGATE VINAIGRETTE
possibly by Thomas Newbold, Birmingham 1825, rectangular, the hinged cover and base inset with a polished agate panel, the gilt interior with a pierced and scrolling foliate engraved grille, the sides engine-turned. 5cm long, 1.6 troy ounces gross
The marks are legible. The hinged cover and grille are in good order and close well. The agate to the cover is slightly translucent, allowing the grille to be partially viewed. This is a lovely quality vinaigrette in good original condition.
