the brass breakarch dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture to the engraved centre mask, pierced brass spandrels, the arch set with a silvered signature roundel signed ‘Cor. Herbert, London Bridge’ flanked by pierced dolphins, the flat caddy top hood with breakarch moulding below, the dial flanked by Doric columns with brass capitals, the figured walnut veneered trunk with a rectangular door with a brass mounted lenticle, on a plain plinth base with step moulding on a serpentine bracket foot, the twin train movement striking a bell
