Description
A pair of 'VIP' chairs by Marcel Wanders, the Netherlands, 2000, H 82 - W 60 cm
The VIP chair was specially designed for the World Expo in Hannover to furnish the Dutch pavilion. The chairs are completely upholstered with a felt woolen textile. The upholstery covering the legs of the chairs hangs loose, like trousers' legs, and hides the wheels, so when the chairs are moving, they appear to be floating above the ground.
