Edo period (1615-1868) or Meiji era (1868-1912), mid-/late 19th century
The crab realistically and finely rendered, the leg joints and pincers intricately constructed of smoothly moving parts; signed on the underside, left of the abdomen Gorosabu(ro) zo. 9.5cm (3¾in) wide including extended legs.
