A Phoenician gold ring made from a tightly coiled wire which had been soldered to keep it rigid. The shank in this case is a small circular cell holding a cabochon garnet, flanked by four gold globules. Gold and garnet. Phoenician 5/6th.c.A.D. 30 by 15 mm. Weight: 7.5 g.
