A celestial rainbow cloak, created by "The Fool" design collective for Catherine Sebastian, wife of The Lovin' Spoonful founder, John Sebastian.

The cloak features a velvet purple and white celestial print design, with a colorful sheer rainbow striped lining, and silver-hued fringe trim, with a hood. No size or label present. Please note: staining and holes present from age and use.

The Fool (consisting of Marijke Koger, Simon Posthuma, Josje Leeger, and Barry Finch) was a Dutch design collective and band popular for their psychedelic art and famous for working with artists such as The Hollies, Cream, and especially with The Beatles on the short-lived Apple Boutique. According to Sebastian, one day the members of "The Fool" showed up at the 46-acre artistic community near Studio City called "The Farm," which he was living at in order for Marijke to record an album. The group quickly took to Sebastian's wife, Catherine, due to her Disney Princess-like demeanor, and began making clothing for their new American muse, including this celestial cape.
