Item Details
Description
A 1972 Gretsch 7690 Super Chet hollowbody electric guitar, serial #122204, in Autumn Red. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist.
The Baldwin period Gretsch Super Chet was made from 1972-1980, and aside from the pickguard-mounted controls and unique inlays, it’s not too far out of pocket for the company’s other offerings of the time. Features a 24.75 inch laminated maple neck and a 22-fret ebony fretboard with abalone fleur-de-lis inlays.
Laminated maple body in Autumn Red finish with multi-ply binding, gold hardware, a pair of black-topped Filter ‘Tron pickups, and controls mounted to the black pickguard: volume and tone for each pickup and a master volume.
Includes Gretsch hardshell case.
