A 1950s Otwin Olymp archtop guitar in natural finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist.
From Randy’s impressive collection of German archtop guitars, assembled over a period of 30-plus years and born out of a love of these oft-unsung heroes of luthierie.
An extremely fancy Otwin guitar, made by luthier Otto Windisch sometime in the 1950s. 7-piece maple neck, 21-fret rosewood fretboard with stripe inlays. Carved spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, with thick multi-ply binding, all finished in an attractive brown sunburst. Distinctive sound holes, also bound, with a an adjustable rosewood bridge and engraved tailpiece. Beloton pickup and white-and-black pickguard.
Includes hardshell case.
