26 1/2 x 18 in. (sight) poster, framed, 29 1/4 x 20 1/2 in. (toning, some staining, creasing, few repaired tears near top and right margins, unexamined outside frame). Signed lower right in the print by Albert Solon, who designed several aviation posters for Farman Airlines as well as Air France.
RARE: Only one other copy has sold at auction; only one institutional copy has been located at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
French aviation pioneer Henri Farman (1874–1958) and his brothers founded Farman Airlines in 1919, which later merged with Air France in 1933.
