Delbert "Cigar" Daisey (VA, 1929-2017), Pair of Mallards

Chincoteague, Virginia, circa 2000, pressed cork, glass eyes, branded CIGAR, signed, CIGAR branded anchor weights.
Length 17 in.
Cigar was given his nickname by a game warden when he lost some cigars while stealing ducks from the warden's trap. Daisey and his stories are of folk legend. His life and decoys have been memorialized in a book by Doily Fulcher.
