Antique 19th Century Red Wholecloth Quilt

Item Details

Description

Antique 19th Century Red Wholecloth Quilt measuring 72x87". Red fabric width is about 21". It is hand pieced and hand quilted in white thread with a feather wreath in the center against a hanging diamond grid with undulating feathered vines along the borders. There is think cotton batting and a woven plaid reverse. The edge is finished with a red applied binding, by hand. In good condition with one small tear in the front. From a NY Collector.
