FDR 1941 White House Condolence Acknowledgement Card & Envelope
Black bordered card reading "The President and Mrs Roosevelt Much Appreciate Your Condolence in Their Great Loss", the envelope was postmarked September 17, 1941, which would refer to the death of President Roosevelt's mother, Sara Delano Roosevelt, who passed away on September 7, 1941, the card was addressed to Mr. Raymond D. Adolphs Bear Mountain, NY, Mr. Adolphs was the Park Forester at Palisades Interstate Park throughout the 1930s.
