Description
Native American, Southwestern United States, New Mexico, Acoma Pueblo, ca. early 20th century CE. A beautiful pottery canteen, hand-formed and painted with broad geometric motifs that resemble rosettes. The piece is thoughtfully designed with a flattened side to rest on with the spout angled slightly upward. Size: 8" Diameter x 6.5" H (20.3 cm x 16.5 cm)

Condition
Nicks and abrasions. Discoloration and stains on the surface. Nice craquelure to pigments. The underside has a indiscernible red mark, possibly a signature old inventory label on the base.
