Description
A silver cream jug, upon shell mounted hoof feet with leaf capped scroll handle, hallmarked Maurice Freeman, London 1900, an ovoid sugar caster, hallmarked Mitchell & Cooper, London 1917, an open salt with roped rim, foliage embossed band and ball feet, hallmarked Lambert & Co (George Lambert), London 1897, a small, plain jug, hallmarked Henry Hobson & Sons, Birmingham 1899 and a sauce boat with shaped rim, hallmarked London 1903. Height of caster 18.5cm, overall weight 16ozt (497g).
Condition Report:- Items show general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- Cream jug shows some darker tarnishing to lower body.
- Caster would benefit from a clean and polish, as silver is quite dull and dark.
- There is a small bash to central body of caster.
- Caster cover fits well into body, and is also hallmarked.
- Some minor nibbles and nicks to caster cover piercing.
- Gauge to small jug is very thin and malleable, with some bashes and dints near the base of the body.
- Open salt shows polish residue to decoration recesses, and ball feet appear slightly compressed inwards.
- Silver to sauce boat is quite thin. Front foot is misshapen and bent.
