Assorted teaspoons, comprising a cased set of six teaspoons with sinuously curved terminals and a pair of sugar tongs, hallmarked Charles Wilkes, Birmingham 1904 and 1905, a cased set of eight tea spoons, hallmarked William Hutton & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1925, 1927, 1929, 1933 and 1936, and six examples with fluted bowls and twisted handles, hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd, Sheffield 1904; plus a mother-of-pearl handled Georgian butter knife, hallmarked Thomas Streetin, London 1810 and a continental spoon, with pierced handle and ship terminal, hallmarked John George Smith, Birmingham import 1899, length 20cm. Overall weight 13.4ozt (416.8g)
Condition Report:- Items show some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- Sinuously decorated examples are bright and shiny.
- A few examples are misshapen to tip of bowl and surrounding area.
- Terminals to set of eight are quite scratched, evident on closer inspection.
- Pearl handle to butter knife is quite dark and stained to terminal, with some fading to crest.
- Bowl to continental spoon is slightly bashed and bumpy.
- Continental spoon shows some thick polish residue.
- Both cases are aged and worn, with hinge to one very broken and the other with hinge completely detached.
