Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom to Third Intermediate Period, 18th to 25th Dynasty, ca. 1550 to 664 BCE. Two lovely artifacts from ancient Egypt. First is a steatite scaraboid with a rounded top and an abstract decoration incised into the bottom, perhaps showing a pair of flies. Next is a blue-glazed faience bead of lenticular form that perhaps represents a closed papyrus flower. Size of largest (faience bead): 0.7" L x 0.29" W (1.8 cm x 0.7 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Santa Barbara, California, USA collection; ex-Charles Craig collection, before 2000
