Ancient Near East, Holy Land, ca. 1st millennium BCE. A wheel-thrown pottery jug with a piriform body, a pair of loop handles, and several incised grooves that decorate the exterior. Size: 3" L x 3.4" W x 5.5" H (7.6 cm x 8.6 cm x 14 cm)
Provenance: ex-Davis collection, Houston, Texas, acquired before 2013 from various auction houses in London and New York

Minor nicks and pitting, otherwise intact and very good. Great preservation to exterior grooves. Previous inventory label handwritten beneath base.
