Description
Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1882-1945) typewritten personal letter, likely secretarial signed, on private letterhead, dated October 17, 1928. Letter is written to George A. Essex of Chelsea, Oklahoma and contains references to Roosevelt's political philosophy and New York Governor Al Smith; penned prior to Roosevelt's election as the 32nd President of the United States. 10-1/2" x 7-1/4". The letter encourages Mr. Essex to support Governor Smith in his candidacy for president in opposition of Herbert Hoover.

Light toning, small area of loss at upper left corner, spot of foxing on back, overall very good condition.
