A fine group of pieces by prominent American political and judicial figures of the early to mid to late-twentieth century, all in autograph letter and typed letter signed format, and many offering fine content. The letters are in very good to fine condition.

Roosevelt, Jr. congratulating William Natcher on his re-election to Congress; a T.L.S. of Herbert Lehman, lamenting the "…the apathy of the voters.."; a T.L.S. of Hubert Humphrey regarding the McGuire bill and adding: "…I am a long-time supporter of Free Trade…" and a second extolling his support of the Peace Corps; a T.L.S. of John Foster Dulles regarding an article and the "…smear line which has been adopted by the Soviet communist newspapers…"; a T.L.S. of Eugene McCarthy regarding the dearth of airline service from Minnesota to LA; a T.L.S. of Wiley Rutledge regarding a tribute to Benjamin Cardozo; a T.L.S. of James Farley, in part: "…To Americans recoiling from the present state of political corruption [The Watergate Affair], the Roosevelt-Farley team represents the last honorable page in America's history…"; a T.L.S. of Mario Cuomo regarding his appreciation for a theological work, and its "…reaffirmation of Christian optimism…"; a T.L.S. of J.
