Dial window is beveled glass with a floral gilt metal rim with interior decorated gilt inner rim and porcelain dial with Roman numerals with the following maker information between key holes Manufactured By Ansonia Clock Company, New-York, United States of America.
Porcelain body has floral decals on white with hand gilded accents on the cobalt blue. Key included.
The Ansonia Clock Company was one of the major 19th century American clock manufacturers. It produced millions of clocks in the period between 1850, its year of incorporation, and 1929, the year the company went into receivership and sold its remaining assets to Soviet Russia.
