Duhme & Co. Aesthetic Movement Silver Flatware, PLUSÂ
American (Cincinnati), 19th century. An assembled flatware service of 61 pieces which includes six table spoons, all with bright-cut Japonisme design, all marked Sterling / 925/1000 / Duhme & Co.;lg. 8.5 in., wt. 9 ozt  (305g),  twelve salad forks with same bright-cut decoration, but marks for R. Wallace & Son / Sterling; lg. 6 in., total wt. 13ozt (407g), twelve bread and butter knives, marks for R. Wallace & Son; lg. 6 in., wt. 10 ozt  (326g),  seven four tyne dinner forks, all marked, lg. 7.5 in., wt., 11ozt  (343g), 12 mother-of-pearl handled knives, lg. 9.25 in. and 12 (same) luncheon knives, lg. 8 in.  All pieces but knives engraved with initials "A.F."; total wt. of all sterling pieces, 49 ozt (1524.1g).
Note: Duhme & Co. silver flatware of this period was purchased by the piece or group of the same piece, example: teaspoons. This LOT was assembled over several years, collecting the same pattern (not always the same maker) and finding dinner and luncheon knives.
