Pre-Columbian, Border Ecuador/Colombia, Karchi culture, ca. 800-1500 CE. This group includes two ceramic vessels, one olla and one bowl created in negative resist technique in which designs are applied with melted wax and the bowl is then dipped in colored slip. The olla shows indications of geometric motifs created via this technique and has small lugs at the neck for suspension. The decorations on the bowl are less vivid.
