c. October 12, 1861 Civil War Period, Engraved Print, First U.S. Ironclad, “St. Louis” or “Baron de Kalb,” Choice Very Fine.
Engraved by George E. Perine, 3.75” x 6.25” image, overall 6” x 9.5”. The historic Ironclad was build by James B. Eads and launched October 12, 1861. It was armed with 13 guns. Minor toning to borders. Very nice eye appeal; suitable for framing.
