Item Details
Description
An attractive bronze Guanyin, late Ming/early Qing, seated cross-legged on a lotus throne holding a disc, the hair and other details finely chased, fingers restored, chip to hair, 22.5cm, contemporary wood stand (2) The depression on the headdress and necklace would originally have held jewels. While the figure is Chinese in style, the strong possibility remains that it is actually Japanese; the hair particularly is indicative.
