A large Egyptian faience green faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 343 BC, mummiform, wearing striated wig and braided false beard, arms folded across chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, bag over left shoulder, plinth down back and 9 horizontal registers of text down front. H: 7 2/3 in (19.4cm). Intact, minor nicks to nose and implements. A large and very attractive example! Ex Spink and Son, purchased c. 1963.
