Description
An Anatolian stone head of man wearing a pointed cap, c.1st Century BC, carved in a dark calcite, the style resembling the large stone head found at Mt. Nimrud, time of Antiochus I Theos of the Kingdom of Commagene. H: 4 1/8 in (10.6cm). Intact, light deposits. Mounted on a custom wood base. Ex Northern Michigan private collection.
