Description

Robert T. Frazier was born in 1850 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In the mid 1880’s he moved to Pueblo, Colorado and in 1892 he formed a partnership with S.C. Gallup. Frazier was one of the first saddle makers touse catalogs, which made the Frazier saddles famous. In 1917 he was considered to be the largest producer of stock saddles in the U.S. Frazier used a phrase that became his trademark, “Builder of the famous PuebloSaddle.” At one time he employed over 50 saddle makers. Frazier died in 1931 and his wife, Kitty, ran the saddlery unitil 1958, Kitty then died in 1959. Fraziers home is listed with the National List of HistoricalPlaces. Even though there are many saddles with the R.T. Frazier stamp, these are highly collectible and popular saddles. This saddledates around 1900 and shows a great condition. The seat on this rare saddle is 15" and is in good condition. The saddle has a tight hand tooled basket weave across the entire piece with seven handmade silver
