Description
A very small Satsuma vase with multiple figures. Satsuma ceramics are typically beige in color, with a crackle finish to the glaze. They emerged in Japan in the nineteenth century almost exclusively for a western market. Japan, late 19th c.; unmarked. Dimensions: approx. 2" diam (at widest), 3-1/2" H.
Condition
In fair condition, some wear to the paint finish and glaze, consistent with age and use.
