Description
Two 18th century Chelsea porcelain figures of a courting man and woman picking flowers. The Chelsea Porcelain Manufactory was established in the mid-1700s and was England's first premiere producer of porcelain. This pair is marked with the gold anchor symbol, dating it to Chelsea's Gold Anchor Period of 1758-1770 (source Encyclopaedia Britannica). England, 1758-1770; marked with gold anchor at base. Dimensions for both: approx. 9-1/2" H x 3-3/4" W x 3-3/4" D.
Condition
In good condition, some instances of age appropriate wear to paint, mostly on the bases.
