This lot comprises nine bottles of 1990 vintage Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, three bottles from the Boscarelli winery in Cervegnano and six bottles from the Poliziano winery in Montepulciano Stazione.

The famous red Vino Nobile di Montepulciano thrives in the higher altitudes of vineyard slopes around the town of Montepulciano in southern Tuscany. Not to be confused with the Montepulciano red wine grape varieties of the same name. A Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a Tuscan cuvee mainly made from Sangiovese, as well as some Canaiolo, Trebbiano and Malvasia. Vines grow on loose, skeletonized, warm soil, mixed with sand, which can produce full-bodied, cherry-infused growths with structure. The best of them stand out not only due to their power, but also due to their finish, freshness and ageing potential.

1990 was a truly great vintage in Tuscany, with hot weather and a small harvest – ideal conditions for top wines. The wines are intensive, long-lasting and now at the peak of their maturity.

The fill levels are excellent (1x base of neck, 8x into neck). Some labels are very slightly damaged. The capsules are in perfect condition.
