ENGLISH DEVONSHIRE POTTERY HOLLOW MOLDED FIGURE OF A RAM, recumbent on an incorporated base, after a Ralph Wood model, slip-decorated with marbleized manganese and white slip, unglazed interior. Attributed to Bovey Tracey, Devonshire. Circa 1780-1800. 3 5/8" H, 5 3/4" W.

Literature: Taggart - The Frank P. and Harriet C. Burnap Collection of English Pottery, p. 140, fig. 527, illustrates a similarly-molded example.

Provenance: From the personal collection of George and Mickey Deike.

Condition

Excellent appearance; some professional restoration to the horns, ears, and nose.
