Chromolithographed mosaic-bordered title-page by Owen Jones, one engraved map and 26 tinted lithographed plates on heavy paper with printed caption beneath, one leaf with two plates, after Catherwood by Andrew Picken, Henry Warren, William Parrott, John C. Bourne, Thomas Shotter Boys and George Belton Moore (some mostly marginal spotting). Contemporary green morocco backed green cloth (extremities scuffed). Provenance: Early 19th-century armorial bookplate of J.J. Bowerbank L.L.D. on front paste-down; engraved bookplate of Frederick DuCane Godman (1834-1919), English Lepidopterist, entomologist, and ornithologist, on the front paste-down. First edition, one of 300 copies, issue with tinted plates on heavy paper with printed captions.
