The wood is a nice quality, not too heavy or too light and its heavily laquered in deep red for beauty and durability. The decoration is natural Mother of Pearl shell, inlaid to create a Lotus Flower in the center surrounded by rings of matching flowers. This Bento box was designed for lunches with lift out compartments for easy filling and cleaning.
