RARE 18th C Chinese SOLID GOLD trinket box, repoussed into a rectangular body, with slightly rounded corner. The top cover decorated with a butterfly within floral shaped cartouche, interspersed by floral motif in relief, adorned with array of colorful semi-precious stones inlaid on the butterfly. The sides with floral blooms and scrolling tendrils.

Mark on base, incised four script -KaiShu- characters enclosed within double square frames border, QianLong Reign Period (1735-1796)
