Description
An early 20th century continental silver and gold diamond floral spray brooch. Designed as a foliate frond, with floral accents, set throughout with rose-cut diamonds. Principal gem deficient. Length 7.8cms. Weight 19.6gms.
Condition
The lot is in fair overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Replacement fittings. Clasp and pin have French assay marks, clasp with maker's mark of CG or GG with central swan. Principal gem to open flower deficient. Claws to mount show wear, may require attention. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated total diamond spread weight 2cts, which is no indication of the total diamond weight. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. Varying inclusions, some surface reaching. Minor nicks.
