19th century English Regency style rosewood and brass inlaid sewing box of rectangular sarcophagus form, having a brass foliate and scroll inlaid design with locking mechanism (without a key). The hinged top opening to reveal a fitted interior containing a compartmented removable tray with sewing implements with mother of pearl handles, Carved ivory thread bobbins, gilt embossed leather lids, spools, needle case, tape measurer and more. The interior of the lid has tufted silk & gilt stamped leather document pouch. The box set on turned gadrooned feet with wood ring side handles. Height 6.5". Length 11". Width 8".
