Buddy Holly Signed "That'll Be the Day" Sheet Music (Nor Va Jak Music, 1957). A four-page 9" x 12" folio with a 50¢ price on the cover bearing a photo of the group with the text below: "[A]s Recorded by The Crickets on Brunswick Records". There is a blue ballpoint pen "Buddy Holly" signature across his white T-shirt. The inspiration for the song's title purportedly came from Holly, Sonny Curtis, and Jerry Allison viewing the John Wayne movie The Searchers where he utters this phrase. Released on May 27, 1957, it soared to the top of the charts and is ranked by Rolling Stone as number thirty-nine of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time." Fine condition with a light coffee stain on the front and general wear. COA from Heritage Auctions.
