Edito Princeps in Greek of the most important printed text of Euripides prior to the 18th century. Contains 18 tragedies by Euripides though only 17 are specified on the title, Hercules Furens having been added at the end of the second volume. Only 4 of the plays having appeared prior, (Medea, Hippolytus, Alcestis, and Andromache, were published c.1495). A 19th play, Electra, first appeared in 1545. This issue with preface on A1v and epigrams on A2r. Bookplate of Erling Richard West. Quite rare
