The present Mido Ocean Star Powerwind wind wristwatch was manufactured in 1965 in Switzerland. It has an automatic movement, and displays the hour, minute, second and date. The black dial is fitted with silver hands. The case consists of stainless steel. The black leather wristband has a pin buckle.



The case number is 3030069. The back cover shows engraved initials. The case diameter is 35 mm, and the height is 10 mm. The strap length is 20 cm, and the lugs measure 18 mm. The total weight is 39 grams. The watch is in good condition, showing minor wear. During a short-term test, the watch was fully functional, but long-term precision and regularity cannot be guaranteed.

Mido

The company Mido was founded in 1918 by the Swiss George Schaeren under the name MIDO G. Schaeren & Co. Since then, Mido has been standing for technical innovation and timeless design. In the 1930s, Mido was commissioned to create watches in the form of car grilles of Bugatti, Buick, Excelsior, Peugeot and Chevrolet. In 1934, Mido launched the MULTIFORT, which remained the best seller until the 1950s. The MULTIFORT was the first watch that had an automatic winding and was also shockproof, anti-magnetic and waterproof. In 1959, the Mideo OCEAN STAR was introduced with the revolutionary monoshell, which features a special crown sealing system, providing water tightness even in the harshest conditions. In 1967, Mido launched the smallest automatic watch, which was made on an assembly line ever. Finally in 1995, the first analog clock called WORLD TIMER was launched, which automatically stopped the time of the time zone selected by crown pressure.
