A late Victorian 15ct gold ruby and diamond brooch, the ruby and diamond accent marquise-shape panel, within a cannetille surround. Length 4.5cms. Weight 5.7gms.

Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and some patches of heavy discolouration in keeping with general wear. Pin is base metal. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated total diamond spread weight 0.10ct, which is no indication of the total diamond weight. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. The rubies are fairly well matched, with a pinkish-red with fairly good clarity, and some abrasion to facet edges.
