Description
Two late 19th century 15ct gold gem-set brooches. To include a crescent bar brooch with diamond, ruby, sapphire and split pearl foliate motif, together with a green paste and split pearl brooch. Lengths 2.5 and 3.8cms. Weight 6.1gms.
Condition
Overall condition good. Surface scratches and slight discolouration in keeping with general age and wear. All gemstones have light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. Split pearls with light to moderate nacre damage. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Paste brooch pin is base metal. Both stamped 15ct.
