American editions very good with their exteriors otherwise bright and attractive, with only slight loosening of hinges. Canadian editions have greater stress to hinges (1 with repaired front hinge), and 1 ownership page filled in in dark pencil. One 1st Canadian edition (Jack Pumpkinhead) has scuffing and wear to its cloth. Another Canadian 1st edition (Cowardly Lion) has scuffing and minor edge chipping to its pictorial front cover label, and the other 1st Canadian edition (Pirates in Oz) has mild scuffing to pictorial label.
