Included is an undated typed true copy of the message declaring that the Germans had signed an unconditional surrender; Richardson's "thanks of a grateful nation" bearing Truman's printed signature; a lengthy exchange of letters concerning the Berlin crisis and possible use of nuclear arms, a 1961 letter to Henry Kissinger urging build-up of conventional forces, signed letters from HENRY KISSINGER discussing the build-up of tactical nuclear weapons, ANDREW GOODPASTER, ALEXANDER HAIG, JACK KEMP, BARRY GOLDWATER who writes that he fears "another Pearl Harbor" as a result of actions of the Unilateral Disarmament group, five letters, several with excellent content, JULIUS KLEIN, and five typed and holograph manuscripts, all intended as articles or papers, with subjects including the ferrying of Lockheed Lightnings to Europe, Dakar, and three papers on "sub-stratosphere flight".
