Description
The Meteor launched in the summer of 1876 but didn't have its first run until September. For 20 years, Caption Ernest Pomin watched over the vessel and its passengers as it cruised around the lake. The photographer is identified as Carlton Watkins of San Francisco. The matte measures 6.5" x 4.20 while the photograph measures 6.10" x 3.70" The focus is sharp and the contrast is medium.
