Description
West Mexico, Ca 300 BCE/CE. Four very nice stone tools. Included are two basalt manos in light tan stone each with pinkish hue, one in rarer rounded form but showing signs of use on all surfaces, along with two gray basalt pestles used in grinding pigments and drugs. 4-1/2" H for longest pestle, 4-1/4" H for largest mano.
Provenance: Ex-private Kincade collection, Utah acquired prior to 1960.
