Manchester, verso. Emily Thompson was a book illustrator whose credits include Lewis Carroll's 'The Nursery Alice', and William Allingham's 'The Fairies, A Child's Song'. She also designed the stained glass windows for Cheltenham Ladies' College. She drew portraits of refugees for Charles Rowley's book 'Fifty Years of Work Without Wages' (his label verso).
Condition
Perhaps slightly discoloured outside gilt area and with a couple of minor edge spots.
