GOLITSYN NIKOLAI: (1850-1925) Russian Prince, the last Prime Minister of Imperial Russia 1916-17. Rare, bold dark fountain pen ink signatu+E542re ('N. Galitzin') and date, 3rd April 1892, on a 4to page removed from an album. The page also bears five other dark fountain pen ink signatures of various individuals including Gyula Karolyi (1871-1947) Hungarian Prime Minister 1931-32 and Princess Darya (Dolly) Kochubey of Leuchtenberg. With an adjoining integral leaf bearing a further seven fountain pen ink signatures including Ethan Hitchcock (1835-1909) American Secretary of the Interior 1899-1907 and his wife Margaret, Marie von Mach (wife of Edmund von Mach 1870-1927, German-American Writer on Art), Patrick Wynne de Bathe (1876-1939) etc. A pencil annotation to the verso indicates that the pages were removed from an album previously belonging to the diplomat Nicholas R. O'Conor (1843-1908) British Ambassador to Russia 1896-98 and to the Ottoman Empire 1898-1908. EX €125-190
